General Description:
The NA reports to the FPSO Team Leader, will be responsible for all technical aspects of development, design, specification and services related to FPSO during Bid evaluation and design. He also responsible for the preparation of the response to FPSO tender clarifications on behalf of Client. The NA will be located in the office in HCMC, Vietnam. Main responsibilities and accountabilities encompass technical resolution during pre-award activities and post award project implementation of the FPSO in accordance with project specifications and requirement:
· Provide technical and functional expertise in Naval Architecture and Hull Systems for the bid evaluation and design review
· Review marine specifications for FPSO and Risers
· Coordinate the input from other disciplines into the marine specifications
· Assist in contractor competency evaluation and supervise work done by contractor engineers
· Review bid submittals and design deliverables to ensure Manage external interfaces between FPSO with other related packages, Client’s various departments and relevant parties to assist and ensure a smooth and safe transition process from Development to Production phase.
· Liaise with Engineering Contractor, FPSO Construction team as required to support design and construction progress.
· Participate in tanker selection site visits and coordinate reporting of findings.
· Review of detailed FPSO and Risers engineering and design ensuring that the works is in full compliance with Classification Society, Flag State and contractual standards.
· Produce technical reports and technical recommendations as required
· Ensure that client HSE and project specific policies / requirement are met
Work experience requirements:
The candidate should have the following qualifications and direct working experience in Offshore Oil & Gas Field Development Engineering:
· Minimum of 10 years working experience Oil and Gas business, extensive experience in Floating Storage & Production Facilities are preferable.
· Participated in at least two refurbishment/conversions of floating production and storage facilities at senior Naval Architect level or similar position
· Knowledgeable on classification, marine regulatory codes and international standards applicable to shipbuilding and repairs/conversions.
· Proficient computer skills with modern day PC application packages
Education Requirements
· Recognized university degree in Naval Architecture/Offshore Engineering
· Relevant NA experience
