Offshore Senior I&C
a. Our successful candidate will mentor intermediate and junior staffs, work as the discipline coordinator and project manager, be well versed in the use of sizing software for flow elements, control valves and safety relief valves, equipments selection etc, Intools and simulation computer programs as well as other engineering, word processing and spreadsheet programs
b. Setting up all the related procedures, forms of datasheet, TRPs, engineering soft-wares, standards, etc. for carrying out the engineering job.
c. Operating specific soft-wares well for instrumentation and making plan for training junior staffs.
d. Work with the Team lead/Project manager/Engineering Manager in providing our clients with finished projects in a timely manner
e. Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, this includes collecting and coordinating useful information
f. Act as a mentor/coach to junior staff
g. Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff, this includes reviewing reports and ensuring technical standards are met
h. Contribute to maintaining and improving quality control
i. Calculate cost opinions, change orders and earned value
j. Develop engineering cost proposals
k. Identify risks associated with a project at the proposal stage; satisfy client and our requirements with regard to risk management
l. Accurately apply codes and regulations
m. Coordinate with all disciplines, extract and relay relevant information for complex projects
n. Write reports not requiring significant editing
o. Share expertise with other offices
p. Solve interdisciplinary design conflicts
q. Lead, review and/or provide input for proposals
r. Review and markup complex drawings
s. Write and present technical papers
t. Operate as a specialist consultant by creating unique design and concepts, by developing an in-depth understanding of other on site disciplines and by ensure client’s technical capability is moved throughout the environment
u. Operate independently on routine project and oversee work plans and procedures on routine projects
v. Coordinate with all disciplines, extract and relay relevant information for complex projects
1. Senior Instrument Engineer’s required qualifications:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a bias towards Control & Instrumentation preferred
b. At least 10-year experiences working on Offshore Design and in Oil & Gas industry from the permitting and design phases through end of project (conceptual and/or basic and/or detailed design) in Instrument Engineer position or higher position in Engineering Company
c. Making the detailed plan for training client Electrical engineers on job and also overseas to develop the engineering capacity.
d. Demonstrable experience in the detailed design of oil and gas industry, with in-depth knowledge of hazardous area regulations and design requirements (in English)
e. Should have a good experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) projects.
f. Must have Extensive expertise in offshore design and FEED Engineering.
g. Shall have handled FEED Engineer and EPC contractor and developed their deliverable.
h. Must have been in Consultants’ organization for at least 3 years in similar position.
i. Must be Instrument Engineering Team Leader in at least 2 successful projects in FEED, detailed design for Offshore Oil & Gas Platform.
j. Excellent interpersonal skills; a person who listens well, respects diversity of opinions and has an open, clear and succinct communication style
k. Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines
l. Ability to represent the company to the staff, clients and community by ensuring the best image is presented
m. Application knowledge of client’s systems and programs
n. Ability to accurately apply codes and regulations
o. Ability to coordinate with all disciplines, extract and relay relevant information for complex projects
